Are Illinois state fees included?

No, and they are not included anywhere else either. Illinois charges $150 for an LLC and $175 for a corporation including the minimum initial franchise tax, passed through at cost and confirmed in your quote before filing.

Do your packages renew every year?

Never. Starter, Pro, and Premium are one-time service fees. The only things that recur are services that genuinely continue: registered agent at $95 a year after Premium's included first year, and the mailbox at $30 a month if you keep it after the included three months. Both are cancellable.

What is the FinCEN beneficial ownership review?

Federal beneficial ownership reporting has changed direction more than once, and under the current rule most companies formed in the United States are exempt while many foreign-formed companies must file. Rather than selling every customer a FinCEN filing, we check whether the rule applies to your company at the time you form, prepare the filing when it genuinely does, and tell you plainly when it does not.

What happens to the mailbox after the three included months?

The included three months are a $90 value. After that, it continues at $30 a month if you want to keep it, and you can cancel or upgrade to a Virtual Office at any point. The mailbox includes your suite number, mail scanning, and pickup, and completing USPS Form 1583 with our free on-site notary is part of setup.

Can I use these packages for a corporation?

Yes. Every package supports an Illinois LLC or corporation. Pro and Premium prepare an operating agreement for an LLC, or bylaws and initial corporate documents for a corporation.

Do I need registered agent service?

Accepted Answer

Illinois requires every LLC and corporation to maintain a registered agent, but it does not have to be us. Premium includes our service for the first year; on other packages you can add it for $95 a year or appoint any eligible Illinois agent.

Why is your cheapest package $95 when others advertise $0?

Accepted Answer

Because the $0 packages are priced to sell you renewals: registered agent at $199 to $249 a year and compliance subscriptions at $199 a year, forever. Ours is the opposite shape: a real one-time fee, prepared and filed by a person in Chicago, with the recurring services optional, cancellable, and priced at $95 and $30. We would rather say the renewal number out loud on day one.
