Question 1

Can I use the Lobi Space address for my LLC and Google Business Profile?

Accepted Answer

Yes for your LLC, on a virtual office or a full time office plan. Both come with a signed agreement for 1655 S Blue Island Ave that can document your business address for Illinois filings and banking. A business mailbox is mail only. Google sets its own rules, so we do not guarantee a map listing. Virtual office members are sometimes approved for a service area listing instead.

Question 2

Do you charge setup fees?

Accepted Answer

Setup is a one-time $95 on every Business Mailbox and Virtual Office plan. It covers key fobs, parking passes, technology setup, identity verification and USPS Form 1583 processing.

Question 3

How fast can I start?

Accepted Answer

Apply online and pick your plan. A member of our team personally reviews every application, usually within 1 to 2 business days. If we do not approve it, the hold on your card is released in full. Once you are approved, finish Form 1583 and your address is live.

Question 4

What does a private office cost?

Accepted Answer

Suites run $595 to $1,900 a month depending on size. Every one includes 24/7 access, free parking, unlimited meeting room use, wifi, utilities and mail service. We sign a 12 month lease with a 60 day opt out.

Question 5

What else can you handle for my business?

Accepted Answer

Notary and mobile notary, Illinois registered agent service, podcast and video rooms, and a bench of vetted partners: insurance, attorneys, media, software. We use these people ourselves. We vet every recommendation, and we still encourage you to do your own diligence.

Question 6

Where exactly are you?

Accepted Answer

1655 S Blue Island Ave, Chicago, IL 60608, in Pilsen. A few minutes from the West Loop, the Loop and I-94, with parking on site.

Question 7

About the Lobi satisfaction guarantee policy

Accepted Answer

If you are not happy, we make it right. Sometimes that means waiving a fee, decided case by case. We have held a high rating and a high standard for more than ten years, and that is why members stay.

Question 8

Can I use this address for an Illinois LLC or bank account?

Accepted Answer

Our virtual office program gives you a signed office agreement and a real commercial address at 1655 S Blue Island Ave, Chicago. The agreement can document your business address for an Illinois filing or bank review, but each agency and bank sets its own requirements and makes the final decision.

Question 9

Is this different from a PO box or business mailbox?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A PO box or basic business mailbox is mainly for mail handling and an address. A virtual office gives you a real suite address, a signed agreement for your business records, the ability to book our meeting rooms, and access to our coworking space, community and events.

Question 10

What are the terms and conditions for Virtual Office?

Accepted Answer

Our virtual office terms cover your membership agreement, cancellation policy, mail handling, meeting room access, and acceptable use. We will publish the full page soon.

Question 11

Can I book meeting rooms as a virtual office member?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Virtual Office Pro includes 1 meeting room hour each month (a $50 value) and Virtual Office Premium includes 2 meeting room or conference room hours (a $200+ value), with extra hours at member rates. Unused hours do not roll over. Pro members also get 15% off meeting rooms, day offices and the podcast studio, and Premium members get 20%. Applies to full-price room time. Does not combine with promotions. Larger rooms and day offices are also available.

Question 12

Do I get access to community events and networking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Virtual office members receive invitations to member events, workshops, and community programming at Lobi Space.

Question 13

Can Lobi Space also be my registered agent?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Registered agent service is available as a separate $95 yearly service per entity.

Question 14

What is the difference between a business mailbox and a virtual office?

Accepted Answer

A business mailbox gives you a Chicago street address, mail scanning, forwarding and pickup at our front desk. A virtual office adds a signed agreement, meeting room access and a staffed business address. Registered agent service is a separate $95 yearly service. Choose a mailbox for mail only. Choose a virtual office if you need an agreement, bank documentation or a client-facing address.

Question 15

Can I use a Lobi business mailbox for personal mail?

Accepted Answer

No. Our business mailbox is for business mail only. It is tied to a registered business entity and a completed USPS Form 1583. Personal mail belongs at your home address.

Question 16

How is a Lobi business mailbox different from a PO box?

Accepted Answer

A PO box is a number at a post office. A Lobi mailbox is a real street address with a suite number at 1655 S Blue Island Ave. You can receive mail from USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL. We scan, forward, hold or shred each piece. A PO box cannot accept carrier packages and does not come with a front desk team.

Question 17

What happens if I do not pick up my mail?

Accepted Answer

After 30 days, storage fees begin at $10 per week. After 60 days, your box may be closed unless you arrange forwarding or pickup. We will email and text you before any storage charges begin, so nothing sits forgotten.

Question 18

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel anytime within the first 14 days for a full refund. After that, cancel before your next billing cycle and your service ends cleanly. If you cancel, all mail is returned to sender unless you request forwarding first.

Question 19

How do I apply for a business mailbox?

Accepted Answer

Pick your plan, complete the online application, then fill out and notarize USPS Form 1583. Our team reviews everything and approves most accounts by the next business day. You are then ready to receive mail.

Question 20

What are the terms and conditions for Business Mailbox?

Accepted Answer

Our business mailbox terms cover mail receiving, storage, forwarding, Form 1583 compliance, cancellation, and refund policies. We will publish the full page soon.

Question 21

Can I just act as my own Registered Agent?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but you must use a physical Illinois street address and guarantee you are present there Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. That address becomes public record. For most entrepreneurs, a service is easier and safer.

Question 22

Is this included in my Virtual Office membership?

Accepted Answer

No. Registered Agent service is a separate $95 yearly service for each entity, including for Virtual Office and Business Mailbox members. The Pro and Premium formation packages include the first year, then it renews at $95 yearly.
