WeWork built its business on beautiful desks in expensive buildings. If you want a downtown address, a barista, and a floor full of venture-funded startups, that is a real product and they do it well.

We are a different thing entirely.

What we actually are

Lobi Space is one building at 1655 S Blue Island Ave in Pilsen. We have been here since 2015, serving founders across the Lower West Side, the South Side and the West Side — people running freight companies, law practices, bookkeeping firms, contractors, ecommerce sellers and nonprofits.

Most of our members do not need a desk downtown. They need a professional address the city will accept on a business license, mail handled by someone who knows their name, and a conference room for the days a client comes in.

The differences that matter

Price is on the page. Every plan and rate is published — mailbox, virtual office, private office, meeting rooms. No discovery call required to find out what something costs.

Mail is the product, not an upsell. A WeWork membership is fundamentally about space; mail handling is a secondary service. Our business is the address: mail logged the day it lands, scanned, forwarded or held for pickup.

Parking is free and on site. In Fulton Market or the Loop, parking is a daily expense or a train ride. Most of our members drive. That single detail changes the real monthly cost more than the headline rate does.

You can start at $25 a month. A Business Mailbox Pro plan is $25/mo, or $20/mo billed annually, with a $50 one-time setup. That is a professional Chicago address for less than a coworking day pass.

Compliance is handled in-house. Illinois registered agent at $78 a year, notary at $25 (free for members on Form 1583), and annual report reminders. These are the things a small business actually gets stuck on.

Where WeWork is the better answer

If your team needs hot desks in six cities, a Fulton Market address specifically, or space for thirty people, they are built for that and we are not. We would rather tell you that now than sell you the wrong thing.

What it costs here

  • Business Mailbox Pro — $25/mo, or $20/mo annually. A real street address, 10 mail items and 10 scans included.
  • Virtual Office Pro — $75/mo, or $67/mo annually, $95 setup. Adds the signed lease that Illinois filings, city licensing and Google verification accept, plus meeting room hours.
  • Private Office — from $595/mo, furnished, 1–4 people, unlimited meeting room use, free parking, 24/7 access.

Compare everything on the pricing page.

Come and look

The building is real and you are welcome in it. Book a tour, see the space, or call (312) 248-7020.

If a downtown desk is genuinely what you need, take it. If what you need is an address, mail and a room when it matters, we are ten minutes away and a great deal cheaper.
